In the hustle and bustle of life, it’s all too easy to get caught up in the negative aspects of our experiences, leaving us with a “happiness deficit” that can lead to overwhelming anxiety and depression. However, there’s a simple self-care practice I call “Noticing the Okay Moments” that can help us balance the scales and foster a sense of contentment in our daily lives.
As humans, we are wired to remember the negative situations and events to avoid them in the future. But this tendency often makes us overlook the good, easy, or joyful times that occur amidst life’s challenges. By consciously recognizing and cherishing these moments of contentment, we can gradually cultivate a stronger foundation for overall happiness.
