Greentea is an amazing beverage that has many health benefits as well as a great taste. One of the lesser-known benefits of greentea is its ability to support and enhance meditation. Drinking greentea before, during, or after meditation can provide many benefits that can help improve one’s meditation practice.
Greentea has many antioxidant properties that can help reduce stress. This can be especially beneficial during meditation, as stress can be a major hindrance when trying to achieve a meditative state. The antioxidants in greentea can also help to improve mental focus and clarity, which is essential when trying to reach a meditative state. By reducing stress and improving mental clarity, greentea can help make it easier to reach a meditative state.
Greentea also contains L-theanine, an amino acid that is known to promote relaxation and reduce anxiety. This can be helpful when meditating, as it can help to reduce distractions and make it easier to focus on the present moment. Additionally, the L-theanine in greentea can help to improve one’s mood and increase feelings of calm.
Finally, greentea has a mild diuretic effect, which can help to relax tense muscles and improve circulation. This can be beneficial for those meditating, as improved circulation can help to reduce feelings of discomfort and relaxation can help to improve focus.
Overall, greentea is an excellent choice for those looking to enhance their meditation practice. The antioxidants, L-theanine, and mild diuretic effect of greentea can help reduce stress, improve mental clarity, and increase relaxation, which can all help to make meditation more effective. So next time you meditate, try drinking some greentea for an extra boost!

We all begin with the best of intentions. We aspire to establish a consistent weekly self-care routine, recognizing the positive impact it has on our well-being. Yet, life’s unexpected twists often throw our self-care plans off course. When the unexpected arises, our self-care routine is often the first casualty. What if there was one self-care routine that took less than 20 minutes each day and could have a profound impact on your overall health and well-being? Would you find a way to prioritize it? The answer might become clear as you explore its numerous benefits.
Imagine one weekly self-care practice that could:
Enhance the quality of your sleep.
Recharge your energy levels.
Boost your focus and concentration.
Foster creativity and problem-solving.
Reduce stress.
Improve your mood.
Decrease inflammation in your body.
Enhance your memory.
Lower your blood pressure.
Strengthen your immune system.
Contribute to your happiness.
Reduce anxiety.
Promote mindfulness.
Elevate your overall quality of life.
Surprisingly, spending a short amount of time in nature can achieve all these benefits…
In the hustle and bustle of life, it’s all too easy to get caught up in the negative aspects of our experiences, leaving us with a “happiness deficit” that can lead to overwhelming anxiety and depression. However, there’s a simple self-care practice I call “Noticing the Okay Moments” that can help us balance the scales and foster a sense of contentment in our daily lives.
As humans, we are wired to remember the negative situations and events to avoid them in the future. But this tendency often makes us overlook the good, easy, or joyful times that occur amidst life’s challenges. By consciously recognizing and cherishing these moments of contentment, we can gradually cultivate a stronger foundation for overall happiness.
How do I start over? This is a question many people are asking themselves, as we continue to navigate the effects of the after-pandemic world. Thousands of people have quit their jobs and started what we are now calling The Great Resignation. As we continue to be shown how things are not working, from the cost of living, to our school systems, laws, and day-to-day lives, we’re now facing a new pandemic: A mental health crisis. Many aren’t happy and that’s why we’re looking for different ways of living in this modern world, all in the hopes of something new and better. But how do we start over? Especially, if we don’t want to go back to where we were. How do we start from square one again after we’ve worked years, sometimes decades, to create a life we now want to run away from?
Board Certified Integrative and Holistic Health Coach, Pétra Glenesk, shares with us how to increase quality sleep so that we may better manage our energy and stay resilient. No better time than the holidays to reap these rewards!
