Paw Chi Holistic Veterinary Care Spotlight

At WellBEing Resource, we love highlighting the incredible practitioners featured in our directory! Today, we’re featuring Paw Chi Holistic Veterinary Care located in Roseville, California, where holistic veterinarian Dr. Leslie Baldner brings a lifetime of learning and experience to helping animals achieve optimal health, treating your animal companion as a whole, rather than just the symptoms.

Favorite Self-Care Tips:

  • Connect with Nature: I go on daily walks, love to catch the sunset or a full moon, and often spend time near water. I enjoy sharing these moments with my dogs, my friends and their dogs, and even my cat, who loves adventures!
  • Little Adventures for Pets: I encourage my clients to get their pets out into nature as it benefits them both mentally and physically. It’s so good for them, and it strengthens the human–animal bond.

How I Can Help You & What Makes Me Unique:

As a holistic veterinarian, I support the body’s natural ability to heal itself. My approach focuses on getting to the root cause of health concerns, rather than masking symptoms with medication. Using gentle, integrative modalities, I aim to restore balance and guide patients toward optimal, long-term health. While it can take more time, the results are deeper and more lasting.

Why I Love Being Part of WellBEing Resource:
“I love community. It is so important. WellBEing Resource gives me that connection.”

The REAL Secret to Healthy Eating

By Donya Fahmy, Natural Health & Lifestyle Transformation Mentor:

Confused about what it really means to eat healthy? You’re not alone. With endless nutrition advice—low-fat vs. high-fat, carbs vs. no carbs, superfoods, detox drinks, and even butter in coffee—it’s easy to feel overwhelmed.

Here’s the truth: Healthy eating isn’t one-size-fits-all. What works for one person might not work for another. The key is finding an approach that fits your body, lifestyle, and preferences. But before you can do that, it’s important to break free from limiting beliefs like:
❌ “Healthy eating is too restrictive.”
❌ “It’s too time-consuming.”
❌ “I don’t have the willpower.”

The good news? Eating well doesn’t have to be complicated or miserable. It’s about strategy, not willpower—small, simple shifts that make a lasting impact.

That’s why Donya is hosting a FREE 5-Day Healthy Eating Reset Challenge starting April 7, 2025. Join her to:
✅ Ditch outdated nutrition myths and food guilt
✅ Feel better without restrictive diets or overwhelm
✅ Make easy changes for long-term health and vitality
✅ Enjoy food without obsessing over what NOT to eat

Bonus: Daily prizes + a Grand Prize for active participants!

Green Tea’s Enhancing Affect on Meditation

By Jacquelynn Knoll:

Green tea is an amazing beverage that has many health benefits as well as a great taste. One of the lesser-known benefits of green tea is its ability to support and enhance meditation. Drinking green tea before, during, or after meditation can provide many benefits that can help improve one’s meditation practice.

Green tea has many antioxidant properties that can help reduce stress. This can be especially beneficial during meditation, as stress can be a major hindrance when trying to achieve a meditative state. The antioxidants in green tea can also help to improve mental focus and clarity, which is essential when trying to reach a meditative state. By reducing stress and improving mental clarity, green tea can help make it easier to reach a meditative state.

Green tea also contains L-theanine, an amino acid that is known to promote relaxation and reduce anxiety. This can be helpful when meditating, as it can help to reduce distractions and make it easier to focus on the present moment. Additionally, the L-theanine in green tea can help to improve one’s mood and increase feelings of calm.

Finally, green tea has a mild diuretic effect, which can help to relax tense muscles and improve circulation. This can be beneficial for those meditating, as improved circulation can help to reduce feelings of discomfort and relaxation can help to improve focus.

Overall, green tea is an excellent choice for those looking to enhance their meditation practice. The antioxidants, L-theanine, and mild diuretic effect of green tea can help reduce stress, improve mental clarity, and increase relaxation, which can all help to make meditation more effective. So next time you meditate, try drinking some green tea for an extra boost!
